Which is easy? Pay or Save?

Last year when I wrote this blog, I've done little to save the tax. It all reflected in my Feb & Mar salary. Though it was hard, we knew it was coming.

Yesterday was the day to submit our investment proofs for Income Tax calculation for this fiscal. Most of us usually feel 'why so early?'. No time is enough to save our tax.

Hoping to save few, we've invested almost all of our savings. Resulting in huge EMIs to pay every month, mostly relying on the takehome. Many personal compromises. Above all, lot of mental pressure.

Wouldn't be easy to pay the taxes ?@!

நான் அவனை அடுத்த முறை பார்க்கும்போது அவனுக்கு நீளமான முடியிருக்காது, கோபப்படும் போது அதை கோதிவிட முடியாது, பாகவதர் style பண்ணமுடியாது...

Need a Jackpot!!!

We've a long list of pending items that we wish to buy, a Laptop, a small family car, a PMP certification, Modular Kitchen, a good interior in our Madipakkan house, a two wheeler for Hema, and many more.

I still don't know where to cash-in for all. Now, I've upgraded my wish of 'A Laptop' to 'A MacBook' after working on Mummy's & Ravi's MacBook. The milky white body with a smooth corner looks astonishing. The power inside should be as great as it looks.

The glowing bitten apple is calling me, I need to win a jackpok!!!

Controversy or Record

From the time I entered into office today, I couldn't avoid being in middle of a discussion about the most controversial test cricket match of recent times. The 2nd test of the 4 match test series between India & Australia played at Sydney Cricket Group. In the workstations, breakout area, smoking zone, cafeteria, rest rooms...wherever you found group of people chitchatting, they were talking about this.

Above all, the bad umpiring decisions and the ban imposed on 'Bhajj' stood tall. The classic by Sachin & Laxman, the super spells by RP Singh, Bhajj's magic to claim the wicket of Ponting twice in this match were forgotten.

Like this, all these controversies will be forgotten by history and this match will be remember for the 16th consecutive test victory by the Aussies, the record equally effort.

Worst of my Travel Plans

It would always be difficult to return home, after having lot of fun. We had the same feeling at the end of our Alumni Meet.

It was more difficult to me, my friend Selva and few other co-passengers who booked their ticket to Chennai on 12/30 in RVR travels. The scheduled departure time was 9:30 PM. Since, the bus didn't come until 10:30 PM, few got irritated and enquired the travel desk for update. The response was really rude. The argument got heated and become more of a fight.

At around 11:20, the patrolling police has reach the scene and tried to solve the problem. Final the bus has arrived at around 11:30 PM and we saw a glimpse of reaching Chennai at least by 10 AM next day.

To make things more worst, the bus broke down within a kilometer from the start. Many passengers slept and didn't know what was going on until 1:00 AM. It was too late to look for another travels.

Except few, most of the passengers wanted to take legal action against the travels and called the police. The fight was on until 2:30 AM and the owner of the travels was absconding leaving few of his office boys in trouble.

We have decided to take the case to 'Consumer Court' and 'Human Rights' and got all the document required for it.

Finally, got the intercity train at around 6:30 AM and reached home at around 3:30. No food, No water from 10 PM to 3:30 PM next day.

A horrible way to thank 2007.

First, let me wish you a happy and wonderful 2008.

Our (DOMCA - PSG Tech) Alumni meet was scheduled during the last week of 2007. A right place with friends to finish off 2007 on a high note, isn't it? 'Re-living our Golden days' was a fitting captions for the event. We did have a really good time there over the weekend.

Movie (Billa) in Archana after 5 long years.
Trekking in Thirumurthy Hills.
Night talk till 2:30 PM.
Watching the best of all events in DOMCA with a gang.

It would have been more fun if Hema was around me.
